Minilist 26 - January 25, 2014

Roman provincial coins and silver denarii, plus 9 U.S. gold coins

Our first mini-list of 2014 contains a diverse mixture of coins mostly purchased on our recent buying trip to the Big Apple. Scarce, but mostly low-grade, Roman provincial coins from the A.K. collection begin the list. Many of these have impressive pedigrees from major European dealers from the 1960s through the 1980s and are seldom offered for sale in any grade. We follow that up with a nice group of Roman coins, mostly silver denarii but a few other pieces mixed in to spice up the list. The last nine coins are United States gold coins put away many years ago by a New York state judge.

All coins should be photographed by the time this list is up. However if the photo is not there, please let us know and we will email the relevant image. All coins are one of a kind. For ordering and payment information please click the ordering and shipping button above. You may call, fax or email 24 hours a day. However if you would like to speak to a live person the best time is between 10 AM and 5:55 PM Monday through Friday. Of course we will answer the phone before and after that time and on weekend if we can. We will return any messages left on our "voice mail" systems provided of course we can understand the message.

We bought about 2000 coins on our recent buying trip so we have enough material for many mini-lists which we will try to get out on a regular basis. Most of the coins we bought were ancient. We also thought we had purchased hundreds of other medieval and modern coins but there was a "communication" problem and we didn't buy what we thought we had bought.
